Contents of a Challan
A supplier must include the following details in a challan:

- Address and GSTIN or UIN.
- The date and number of Challan.
- Description of the goods.
- HSN code of the goods.
- Total quantity and price of the goods in the shipment.
- Tax rate, if applicable.
- Place of supply of goods.
- Signature of the issuer.
GST Delivery Challan Format
Section 31 mandates the issuance of an invoice or bill of supply or export for every
good supplied. However, when issuing a tax invoice is not possible, they may issue a delivery challan in
case of trading business.
According to rule 55(1) of the CGST Act, a consignor may issue a delivery challan instead of the invoice for:
- Liquid gas where the quantity removed by the supplier from their business place is unknown.
- Transportation of goods for job work.
- Transportation of goods for purposes other than supply.
- Transportation of work of art.
- Any other supplies that the Board may notify.

- Click on sale and then click on sale invoice.
- Here you will get the sale invoice history, now go to the sale invoice for which you want to generate a delivery challan.
- At right end of each invoices you will get three dot's click on three dot's and then click on "preview as Delivery challan".
- Check the delivery challan and click on "Save PDF" or "Print".
