Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)Udyam Registration is the government’s free, paperless process for registering eligible businesses as Micro, Small or Medium Enterprises and obtaining a permanent Udyam Registration Number.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicable to all businesses classified as MSMEs
- Eligible Applicants:
- New entrepreneurs
- Existing businesses (including those with Udyog Aadhaar)
- Informal micro enterprises (via Udyam Assist Platform)
- Classification Criteria:
- Micro Enterprise: Investment ≤ ₹2.5 crore, Turnover ≤ ₹10 crore
- Small Enterprise: Investment ≤ ₹25 crore, Turnover ≤ ₹100 crore
- Medium Enterprise: Investment ≤ ₹125 crore, Turnover ≤ ₹500 crore
