How to Manage Partial Sale Order

Transcript

See how to manage partial deliveries and create invoices for only the items you deliver — without converting the entire sales order at once.

Step 1: Create a Sales Order
Start by adding a Sales Order from the Create button or pressing Alt + F.
Enter all order details — for example, 20 bulbs at ₹100 each.

Step 2: Generate Partial Invoice
When only some items are delivered, create an invoice for just those products.
While saving, choose Convert to Partial — the order status will now show as Partially Open.

Step 3: Complete the Remaining Delivery
Once you have the remaining stock, open the same partially open sales order and create additional invoices for the rest.
Use the drop-down menu to view all linked invoices.

Step 4: Understand Conversion Rules
Sales orders with an advance amount can’t be converted to partial.
Also, during bulk conversion, any partial sales order is excluded automatically.

Step 5: Check Reserved Stock
When you create a sales order (for example, 10 bulbs), those items move to Reserved Quantity until the order is fully completed.

Step 6: Track Sales Order Status
View and filter all your sales orders by status — open, partial, or completed — in the Reports section.
This helps you track pending deliveries and payments easily.

Stay on top of your deliveries and payments with Partial Sales Orders — for smarter, faster, and more flexible order management.
