This guide shows how to assign sale units or unit converter settings to many items at once using the bulk unit assignment option.

Step 1:
Open the Vyapar application and go to the Items section from the left side menu. This is where all your items are listed, and you can manage them in one place.

Step 2:
At the top of the Items page, click on Bulk Actions. From the options that appear, choose Assign Units. This is used when you want to update unit settings for multiple items together

Step 3:
A pop-up window will open showing your complete item list. Select all the items for which you want to assign or change the sale unit or control unit. You can choose a few items or select many at once.

Step 4:
After selecting the items, click on the Next button. This will take you to the unit assignment screen where the actual changes will be applied.

Step 5:
Now choose the base Unit you want to assign to all selected items. If you use the unit converter feature, also select the secondary Unit. This helps in maintaining correct unit conversions for items sold in different units.

Step 6:
If required, enter the Conversion Rate between the base unit and the secondary unit. Once everything looks correct, click Save. All selected items will now get updated with the new unit settings in one go.

Bulk unit assignment makes it easy to update units for many items together, helping you save time and avoid manual mistakes.
