How to Export Vyapar Data to Tally – Video

You can transfer your business data from Vyapar accounting software to Tally when your CA or accountant works on Tally. With Vyapar accountinmg software, you can export your data in Tally format and import it into Tally in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Check the Requirements
Make sure Vyapar app and Tally are installed on the same system and both applications are in licensed mode. You can use an existing Tally company or create a new one before importing the data.

Step 2: Export Data from Vyapar
Open Vyapar app→ go to Utilities → select Export to Tally. Choose the required date range, such as all data, this month, or last month. You can also select which data to export, including Sales, Sales Returns, Purchases, Purchase Returns, and Cancelled Sales Invoices. Then click Export to Tally.

Step 3: Copy the Exported File Path
After exporting, Vyapar app will create Master and Voucher XML files. Copy the folder path where these files are saved. You will need this path while importing the data into Tally.

Step 4: Configure Tally for Import
Open Tally → go to the Import section → open Configuration. Set Ignore Errors During Import and Overwrite Vouchers When Voucher with Same ID Exists to Yes. Save the settings and return to the Import section.

Step 5: Import Master and Voucher Files
First, go to Import → Masters → Specify Path and paste the folder path copied from Vyapar app. Select the Master file and choose the option to Ignore Duplicates before importing it. Then repeat the process under Import → Transactions and select the Voucher file to import your sales and purchase transactions.

Step 6: Verify the Imported Data
To check whether the data has been imported correctly, go to Display More Reports → Account Books → Sales Register. Select the required month to view the imported sales bills. You can also check the Purchase Register, along with items and party details, in Tally.

By following these steps, you can easily export your Vyapar app data and import it into Tally, including your masters and business transactions. This makes it easier to share your accounting data with your CA or accountant.
