How to Import Data From Tally to Vyapar – Video

If you are moving from Tally to Vyapar, you can transfer your existing business data without losing your old records. Vyapar accounting software lets you import your Tally company and its business data in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Check the Requirements
Make sure Vyapar app and Tally are installed on the same system and both are in licensed mode. Open the Tally company that you want to import and keep it open during the process.

Step 2: Open Import from Tally in Vyapar app
Open Vyapar → go to Utilities → select Import from Tally → click Import Company. Vyapar will check whether the Tally and Vyapar configurations match.

Step 3: Select Your Tally Company
Click Continue. The company currently open in Tally will appear in Vyapar app. Select the required company and click Continue.

Step 4: Select the Data to Import
Vyapar app will read the available Tally data and show the vouchers and transactions that can be imported. Select all the required vouchers or choose specific ones, then click Continue.

Step 5: Complete the Import Process
Let Vyapar app complete the data transfer. During the import, do not close Tally or Vyapar app and do not change any Tally configuration settings. Once the process is complete, the Tally company will be imported into Vyapar app.

Step 6: Verify Your Imported Data
Click Go to Company to open the imported company in Vyapar app. Check your sales, purchases, vouchers, items, parties, credit notes, and other business data to make sure everything has been transferred correctly.

By following these steps, you can move your Tally data to Vyapar without losing your existing business records. Your company data, transactions, items, parties, and other important records can be imported and managed in Vyapar app.
