Track Item Expiry Dates – Video

Learn how to add expiry dates and track expiring stock easily in the Vyapar app.

This video explains how to set expiry dates and batch tracking for items in the Vyapar app to manage expiring stock more efficiently.

Step 1: Open Settings & Enable Expiry Tracking
Open the Vyapar app, go to “Settings”, then open the “Items” section. Enable the “Expiry Date” option under batch tracking. You can also enable batch numbers if needed.

Step 2: Open Item & Go to Stock Section

Go back to the home page, open the “Items” section, and select the item for which you want to add expiry details.

Step 3: Add Batch Number & Expiry Date
Inside the stock section, enter the batch number and select the expiry date format (Month-Year or Day-Month-Year) as per your requirement.

Step 4:  Enter Opening Quantity & Save
Add the available opening stock quantity for the item and save the details to update the item successfully.

Step 5: Create Sales Invoice & Check Details
While creating a sales invoice, select the item, and you will see the batch number and expiry date automatically shown on the invoice.

Step 6: Track Expiring Stock & Reports
Use the dashboard widget or the Item Batch Reports section to track items that are expiring soon and view detailed expiry reports for selected dates.

Using expiry date and batch tracking helps you manage stock better, avoid expired products, and monitor inventory easily inside the app.
