How to Use Audit Trail – Video

Watch how to use the Audit Trail feature to track every transaction change and keep your accounting records accurate.

As per the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ new mandate, maintaining an audit trail for all business transactions has become compulsory. This feature helps you stay protected from transaction errors and unauthorised changes.

Step 1: Open Vyapar Billing Software
Start by opening the Vyapar Billing Software on your system.
Go to General Settings, and you’ll find the Audit Trail option there.

Step 2: Turn On the Audit Trail
Once you turn on the Audit Trail, the system will automatically start recording every small change made to your transactions.

Step 3: Create a Sample Transaction
Create a Sales Bill by clicking on “Sales,” selecting your party name (or choosing Cash Sale), adding your items, and filling in all required details.
Once done, click Save.

Step 4: View Transaction History
After saving, click on the three dots on the side of the transaction.
You’ll now see a new option called View History.
If you haven’t made any changes yet, there won’t be any activity shown here.

Step 5: Make Changes and Track Them
Now, double-click on your invoice. Edit the invoice, save it, and check View History to see all changes made.

Step 6: Delete or Cancel a Transaction
Click the three dots to delete or cancel the transaction.
Even after cancellation, the full transaction history remains available to view.

The Audit Trail feature gives you complete transparency and control over your business data.
It ensures accuracy, security, and accountability for every change made in your records.
